INTRODUCTION

I need to change the lineup of my insights on Roswell case as the forum site http://www.ufologia.net/ is a place of encounter and exchange of information very interesting. A user with the nickname weboy found a news network that has to contain the summary of an affidavit made by Walter Haut 26 December 2002 and included in the new book by Tomas J. Carey and Donald R. Schmitt entitled Witness to Roswell. After translating the text in question in Italian, and after having read the book mentioned the statement in full, deepen "the case Walter Haut," as this affidavit (sworn statement) change much the cards on the table, because its content is in stark contrast to some of the assertions made by Haut before starting back in 1979. In addition, Walter Haut enriches his statement with some content, which if were true, would make one of the most important witnesses of the whole "saga" of Roswell. An important note: Haut had decided that the family could have dell'affidavit after his death on December 15, 2005. This unfortunately means that there will never be between him and the world a contradiction, it is impossible to ask at least the significance of his gesture. researchers Kevin Randle and Donald Schmitt lead a long and rather fruitless interview with Walter Haut . lists the most significant parts of it first thing colloquio.Per addressing Randle and Schmitt said he could sum up everything he knows about Roswell in one word: "Nothing."

Schmitt During the meetings, was never mentioned that Mac Brazel was in custody at the base? And that was asked?

Haut: Of this we have heard. Walt Whitmore would practically kidnapped. (Note: Whitmore was co-owner of Roswell radio station KGFL). He would move from place to place. I was not aware he could be at the base.

Randle: But she believes that it was a great act of concealment? (The Roswell case in general)

1989, SPRING TELEPHONE INTERVIEW

Randle: I found a newspaper reported that she had received two phone calls from Washington. Do you remember that?

Haut: No .

Randle: A witness said that she was in the first plane with Marcel to Fort Worth.

1989 April

Haut: .... Marcel brought the wreckage in the office of General Ramey (Fort Worth) to show and put the material on the desk. Ramey said he wanted to see the exact location of the discovery and together they went into the room of the maps. When they returned to the office of the pieces worn by General Marcel were disappeared. In their place was a weather balloon on the floor.

1993 May 14 SWORN STATEMENT [Extract]

Haut: Around 9:30 I got a call from Col. William Blanchard , base commander told me to have in his possession a flying saucer or parts thereof. He said the object was to the north-west of Roswell on a ranch and Major Jesse Marcel, official information service of the flies with the material base in Fort Worth. Blanchard told me to write a press release and handover to two newspapers and two radio stations. I went first to the KGFL, then at KSWS, the Daily Record and finally to the Morning Dispatch. The next day I read that General Roger Ramey in Fort Worth said that the object was a weather balloon. I think the Colonel Blanchard saw the material as it seemed very sure of what it was. It is impossible that he mistook for a weather balloon. This also applies to Major Marcel . In 1980 Jesse Marcel told me that the material photographed in the office General Ramey was not what he found. I am convinced that the material found was of a spacecraft.

Haut confirmed to the researcher Gildas Bourdais have asked Jesse Marcel, after the case was reopened, if he was sure of what he saw then. Marcel would have responded to non-terrestrial material recovered.

1995 July 5

Johannes von Buttlar, German researcher, interview Walter Haut, which adds some details about how the statement was written: Haut was called by the master in his office around 9 am. Blanchard told him - and handed him a text already drafted before - on the future discovery of the disc. I returned to my office and went Haut redassi press release word for word by inserting several words used by Blanchard, who took particularly at this. 1997, April 23

Haut is reported that during a broadcast of the FOX-TV was suddenly reduced to the alleged discovery of a flying saucer stating that it would be a weather balloon. Note: It appears that following the statements on FOX-TV Haut has abandoned the role of President of ' International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell.

1997 June 26

On San Jose Mercury News reporter Mark Leibovich writes an article about Roswell and mentions Walter Haut, who told him of being a victim of a "cosmic folk". Haut would add to be disturbed day and night by people from all over the world who would be obsessed with the idea of \u200b\u200bextraterrestrial life.

2002 December 26 SEALED SWORN STATEMENT OF WALTER HAUT

Date: December 26, 2002

1) My name is Walter G. Haut.

2) I was born June 2, 1922.

3) My address is 1405 W.7th Street, Roswell, NM 88203.

4) I am retired.

5) In July 1947 I was stationed at Roswell Army Air Base in Roswell, New Mexico, as a public information officer at the office. I spent July 4th and the next weekend (Saturday 5 and Sunday 6) in my private residence about 10 miles north of the base which was located south of the city.

6) have been informed that someone had brought to the base in mid- morning after my return from a commitment Monday, July 7 the wreckage of a crashed vehicle. I have been informed that Major Jesse A. Marcel. intelligence chief, had been sent by the base commander Col. William Blanchard, to investigate.

7) On the same day late afternoon I could hear that some civilians had reported a second site just north of Roswell.Ho spent most of the day doing my usual work feeling little or nothing more to respect.

8) July 8 at 7:30 in the morning I attended the regular meeting of the staff: as well as Marcel Blanchard and Captain Sheridan Cavitt of the CIC, Colonel James I. Hopkins operations officer, Major Patrick Saunders, assistant base; Major Isadore Brown's official staff; Colonel Ulysses S. Black 's employee access to supplies, and from Carswell AAF in Fort Worth, Texas, were also present for the boss Blanchard, Brigadier General Roger Ramey and the Chief of Staff Colonel Thomas J. DuBose. The main topic of discussion was introduced by Marcel and Cavitt and covered a large field full of scrap in Lincoln County approximately 75 miles northwest of Roswell. A preliminary informative speech was made by Blanchard about the second site about 40 miles north of the city. Some pieces of wreckage were made go around the table. It was material that I had never seen before in my life. Pieces that looked like sheets of metal, paper thin yet very strong, and pieces with unusual signs along their length were taken in hand man to man and each of them said to his opinion. No one was able to identify the wreckage of the crash.

9) One of the main points discussed at the meeting we had was whether or not to publish the discovery. Gen. Ramey proposed a plan that I think he had already prepared with his bosses at the Pentagon. It was necessary to divert attention from more important site north of the city instead giving importance to another location. Too many civilians were already involved and the press was already been informed. I was not fully informed of how this plan was to be executed.

10) at approximately 9:30 am Col. Blanchard phoned my office and told me to send the news to the press that we had in our possession a flying saucer, found on a ranch northwest of Roswell, and Marcel had sent the materials to the headquarters. I went to bring the news to radio stations and KGFL KSWS, and newspapers "Daily Record" and "Morning Dispatch."

11) Since the news had reached the news agencies, my office was flooded with calls from around the world. Messages pile up on my desk, and rather than dealing with the media Blanchard advised me to go home and "hide".

12) Before leaving the base, Colonel Blanchard took me personally 84 building, a hangar for B-29, which located on the east side of the track. First approached the building, I noticed that he was under close surveillance both inside and outside. Once inside, I was allowed a safe distance from the first observation of the object just recovered north of town. It was along about 12 to 15 feet, about 6 feet tall egg-shaped. There was little light but the surface appeared metallic. Did not appear windows, wings, tail section and landing gear door.

13) Even from a distance I could see a couple of bodies under a canvas tarpaulin. Only the heads stretched over the canvas and I was not able to see the features. The heads appeared larger than normal and the contour of the canvas suggests the measure of a child of 10 years. Blanchard's office later he extended his arm about 4 feet off the floor to indicate the height.

14) I was informed of a temporary morgue set up to accommodate the recovered bodies.

15) I was informed that the wreckage was not radioactive.

16) On his return from Fort Worth, Major Marcel described to me the rough pieces of scrap General Ramey's office and after returning from the map room, finding the remains of a weather balloon and a balloon radar when he was substituted out of the room. Marcel was very upset about this situation. We do not discuss more than that.

17) I was allowed to make a final visit to one of the sites found during the remediation of the military. I went back to the base with several scrap and told him in my office.

18) I was informed that two teams would go back to each site months later for periodic searches of the remaining tests.

19) I am convinced that what I personally observed was a type of aircraft and its crew from another area.

20) I have not been paid nor was I given anything of value to make this statement, and the truth as far as I remember.

This statement must remain sealed and secured until the time of my death, my family survived that time will decide his destination.

A COMPARISON SWORN STATEMENTS OF INTERVIEWS AND

The affidavit of 26 December 2002 must be compared with information Haut offered to researchers and the press since 1979 until he decided to change its role in Roswell with "affidavit" above. We note three distinct periods unequivocally "detectors" of Haut. From 1979 to 1996 his statements are consistent in the sense that the answers to the questions of investigators and journalists is basically the same, devoid of contradictions. Haut essentially claims to have written the popular press obeying the order of the then Colonel William Blanchard , commander of the 509th bomber group of Roswell. The lieutenant then public relations officer denied his direct involvement in the recovery of the object, not adding any details relevant to the story. He also claims to believe that the wreckage belonged to a flying saucer, as the professional Blanchard and Jesse Marcel induced him to think that the two could not be wrong in a manner so gross, having the skills needed to distinguish immediately the remains of an ordinary weather balloon material of unknown origin. Later, in 1997, eighteen years after the first comment on the case, Haut suddenly skeptical on the whole affair, claiming at least two occasions that the event in question was magnified out of proportion and that this would be an ordinary weather balloon. The story ends with the affidavit of December 26, 2002, which in addition to contradict some earlier statements, "reveals" the full involvement of Haut in the affair, after he passed away suddenly becoming one of the most important figures in absolute crash 1947.

FINAL REMARKS

You can take in formulating hypotheses more varied in order to understand this change of role by Haut. Researchers skeptical, for example Uli Thieme and perhaps Kal K. Korff, which exclude the hypothesis that a fall in the desert of New Mexico may have been an alien spacecraft, it probably will consider a quack as did the rest with the same Thieme Glenn Dennis, James Ragsdale, Frank Kaufmann, Frankie Rowe. Surely the affidavit of 2002 would further split the UFO community. But such reasons may have prompted the former lieutenant to make a statement so stunning?

Hypothesis 1 - Haut have indicated or suggested in writing that he told the truth for the first time an oath to General Blanchard, who asked not to tell anyone what happened.

Hypothesis 2 - operation could be "commercial" to go up a bit 'quotes of the crash of an alien spacecraft.
