Aug 1-3: Landing in Bastia [A] 2 with immediate departure to the south. The west coast is not so ugly it's worth it, just do a quick stop (bath and pizza) to Mariani-Plage (a place with a really kitsch sea quite dirty). To avoid the mess of Porto Vecchio, and since it is already evening, we stop at Camping in Calfornia Pinareddu [B] .
This SUPERcampeggio invaded by foreign families SUPERorganizzate extra silent and SUPEReducate ... (All a bit 'too super). You pitch your tent on top of a hill just to sleep peacefully ... inclined but do not worry!
The most famous beaches (Palombaggia etc ...) are beautiful but crowded, to find something to stand there quiet a bit 'of dirt (as well as for the whole trip). Worthy of note Playa Balistra [C] and a series of bays after Bonifacio [E] .
Aug 3-5: to avoid another SUPERcampeggio follow the advice of the guide and try the camping Kiesale [F] (A camping à la ferme). We love it! He has 20 tent sites in total (all far apart from each other) and a romantic restaurant where the specialty is organic grilled meat (mostly lamb). The night is cold an absurd ... but luckily there are sleeping bags:)) Among the beaches Board Plage de Tralicetu [G] and Barley Cove [H] .
Aug 5-7: Now we head to the mountains for a while 'hiking, and especially for the famous ascent of Cinto (the highest of Corsica, 2706 m). After carefully reading the guide I choose as the basis the village of Calacuccia [J] in the Vale of Niolo. During the journey to achieve through lush green landscapes, and we stop for a stop at the Falls of the English [I ] . The view is much more bleak by the Court on: there are no forests ... only so many rocks and bushes burnt by the sun. Arriving in this landscape Calacuccia disappointed sad that it absolutely does not reflect what I expected ... Only find out later that Niolo means 'sorry' and 'distressed' ... (!!!)
We sleep at the Auberge Balduina with the firm conviction to make the ascent to Mount Cinto the next day and then escape to wrought to spur the most convenient locations:)
On August 6, woke up at 6 for from good morning like all good mountaineers ... I tried to haggle endlessly with no acceptable results: but we can not wake up at 630? What change? I woke up at 5:40 that I was observed, and in fact he was there with eyes wide open that it was already late .... Well we're off! Despite my technical clothing I can not exactly reach the top (with a hysterical scene touched for a while, if the mountain was 3 m higher than I would not have survived).
We came back around 2 pm, and we took the road towards the sea, stopping to sleep in the village of Evisa [K] ... very nice time! :)
