A tent on the sea
[After returning from 3 weeks now I am here to tell the last part of the holiday ... you know ... I am the comfortable grip!]

Aug 8-11: we spent these days on coast around Porto and Calvi. The landscape near Port - enclosed calanches and parks - is the most beautiful island! Unfortunately it is not ideal in the car, and wonderful places like the village of Girolata not be reached.

Very nice Plage d'Argon [L] , Casabianca and good restaurant (but if you want fresh fish you have to go there for lunch and then the evening is already over)

Around Calvi nature is very different: the dry and barren hills, with white beaches and blue sea. We were three days in a camping à la ferme to Avapessa [M] . The owner is a very nice country and a little 'Scirocco offers a rich breakfast on the terrace of his house. Remarkable shopping Ile Rousse ... a lot of nice things at reasonable prices!

Aug 12-15: these were the best days of the holiday because we have achieved - in fact - the most beautiful place in Corsica: Ghignu [N] .

This is a cape the Desert de Agriates , reachable by a dirt road that winds through the desert for 12 miles. And when I say dirt means very very very very badly reduced. It can be done only by Jeep 4 * 4 with the right wheels ... (And then I can not explain that machine I do not mean ... well ... but those who make the desert just to understand each other).

For those 12 km took us almost 2 hours, and I arrived at their destination on the verge of a crisis (even without edge). But it was worth it.

There is a small hill overlooking the sea, right, a beautiful white beach and left a small rocky cove. Castle on the hill some trulli stone concrete with small couches where you can spend the night away with any comfort. Alternatively, you can pitch your tent or around - like all fanatics of the place - set up your tent on the roof of the jeep.

There will be a 30ina of people throughout most of the Seafarers place that spends his days chatting with the guests .....

Indispensable bring along some food because the food is as close to Saleccia (2.5 hour walk) and return the machine is not thinkable.
